Wellington Square Pharmacy is committed to making our website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We aim to comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA.
Conformance status
This website strives to conform to WCAG 2.2 Level AA. We regularly review and test our website to identify and fix accessibility issues. Where full conformance is not yet achieved, we are actively working to address any gaps.
Legal framework
This accessibility statement is made in accordance with:
- The Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018 — which requires public sector websites and those providing public services to meet accessibility standards
- The Equality Act 2010 — which requires service providers to make reasonable adjustments so that disabled people can access services
What we do to ensure accessibility
We have taken the following steps to ensure our website is accessible:
- Use semantic HTML elements for correct document structure
- Ensure all text meets minimum colour contrast ratios (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text)
- Provide text alternatives for all non-decorative images
- Ensure all interactive elements are keyboard accessible with visible focus indicators
- Use ARIA attributes where appropriate to enhance screen reader compatibility
- Support reduced motion preferences via
prefers-reduced-motion - Ensure forms have associated labels and clear error messages
- Maintain a logical heading hierarchy throughout all pages
- Design with minimum touch target sizes of 44x44 pixels
Known limitations
While we strive for full WCAG 2.2 Level AA compliance, some third-party content (such as embedded maps) may not fully meet all accessibility requirements. We are working to improve these areas.

This website is designed to be compatible with the following:
- Latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge
- Screen readers including NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver
